Below you will find an overview of the legal framework concerning national and international waste transports.

National transports: waste transports within Germany are possible. But not all terminals are allowed to handle waste, so please contact our specialist for waste before starting transports.

International transports:
even in Europe waste can be transported. As in Germany, not all terminals are allowed to handle waste and not every railway undertaking can transport waste. So please contact our specialist for waste in advance as well.

Transport of waste to and from Italy:

Italy: 'REN' National electronic register for the traceability of waste from february, 13th 2019

After the abolition of the SISTRI, the so-called "REN" will be established on 13.02.2019 for the traceability of waste. Italy: SISTRI stopped from January, 1st 2019

From January 1st 2019, the system SISTRI was stopped. On the homepage of the chamber of commerce of Bozen you will find detailed information in German and Italian.

Germany: realignment of the Closed Substance Cycle and waste Management Act (KrWG) as from June 1st 2012

With the realignment of the KrWG from June 1st collectors, carriers, merchants and brokers of waste have to give a notice to the competent authority before starting the activity of their business.

The new KrWG differs only after the dangerousness of waste. From June 1st in Germany no waste can be transported without a notice or permission to or of the competent authority.

Transport Licences (TgV) issued until May 31st 2012 are valid and no new notice to the competent authority is necessary.

Further information and a formular can be found on the homepage of the ZKS-Abfall. As a matter of fact, that page can only be found in German.

Germany: eANV (electronic waste proof act) as from April 1st 2010

On April 1st 2010, in Germany a new electronical system went into force. This means that national transports of waste will no longer be followed by papers and forms but with an electronic instrument. On the homepage of the BMUV (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection) you will find further information concerning this topic.

You can find more information on the pages of the Chamber of industry and commerce (IHK). As a matter of fact, that page is only available in German.
